Role Description
NOVA is a leading provider of next generation metrology systems to monitor and control films and critical layers deployed in the semiconductor manufacturing process. 

Job Description 
We are seeking a candidate with exceptional system integration and analytical skills to play a key role in releasing new products into manufacturing. In this role he/she will:
• Participate in the system integration and characterization along with design and system engineers 
• Helps to create an efficient low-volume manufacturing assembly flow by refining BOMs and creating detailed work instructions. Liaison to third party contract manufacturers.
• Provides training and support to production technicians, confirms fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
• Develops requirements for tooling and test fixtures as needed to obtain quality products. Makes recommendations to eliminate the need for tooling and test fixtures
• Drives reliability testing of critical subsystems
• Help with the creation of product documentation. Works with engineering, service, manufacturing, and technical writers to create content and release documents
• Work with engineering team to address issues and achieve product compliance


Requirements
Required Technical Skills/Experience
• 5-10 years of experience in semiconductor or other large capital equipment markets
• Has strong technical background to independently resolve issues and design improvements as necessary
• System integration and characterization skills combining critical thinking and scientific intuition
• Familiar with the concept and high-level implementation of complex control systems (FPGA, real-time data processing and transfer)
• Conceptual understanding of signal detection and amplification (100 kHz range). Familiar with various mechanical and opto-electronics components
• Hands on experience of working with hardware components, basic electronics modules and diagnostics instrumentation
• Independent thinker and quick learner of new technologies and processes
• Working knowledge of clean vacuum systems (1e-7 torr), vacuum-related design and assembly practices is a plus
• Working knowledge of high voltage components in the 5kV range is a plus
