Role Description
As the Director of Corporate Environment and Facility Management with a strong focus on Environmental (ESG) initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic direction of our organization's physical workspace and facilities, aligning them with our commitment to sustainability, safety, employee well-being, responsible business practices and adhere to regulatory standards. Your role involves overseeing the entire facility lifecycle while championing Environmental (ESG) principles to enhance our corporate reputation and operational efficiency. Your duties will encompass strategic planning, operational management, budgeting, and coordination of facility-related projects.
Responsibilities
Environmental Integration: Develop and implement a comprehensive Environmental strategy for our corporate facilities and products, integrating sustainability practices into all aspects of facility management.
Facility Planning and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative and environmentally conscious workspace designs that promote employee health, safety, productivity, and well-being.
Space Planning: Collaborate with departments to optimize space utilization, layout, and design to support workflow and employee needs. Globally plan for future spaces needs and construction projects to support company strategy.
Sustainability Leadership: Drive the adoption of green building standards, energy efficiency measures, waste reduction initiatives, and renewable energy sources across all facilities.
Health and Wellness: Implement wellness-focused design elements and programs that enhance the physical well-being of employees within the corporate environment.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with Environmental regulations and reporting standards, and provide transparent reporting on our ESG initiatives and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Vendor Partnerships: Cultivate partnerships with Procurement department to encourage vendors, suppliers, and service providers to align with our ESG goals, fostering a sustainable supply chain.
Technology and Innovation: Explore and implement advanced technologies such as smart building systems, data analytics, and IoT solutions to optimize facility operations and minimize environmental impact.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive leadership, internal teams, and external partners to foster a culture of sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets that support Environmental initiatives, balancing cost-effectiveness with long-term sustainability goals, facility projects, facility maintenance and day-to-day activities.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Environmental and Facility management professionals, nurturing their growth and ensuring the successful execution of Environmental and Facility related projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in facility management, sustainability, or related roles, with a proven track record of leading Environmental initiatives.
- Deep understanding of Environmental and Facility principles and standards, sustainability frameworks and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in facility management best practices, health and safety regulations, space planning principles, and sustainability initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and drive change across the organization.
- A visionary mindset to develop and execute a forward-thinking Environmental strategy that aligns with our corporate values and goals.
- Strong project management skills to oversee complex initiatives, from ideation to implementation, and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Openness to embracing new technologies and innovative approaches to drive ESG-related advancements.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging Environmental practices.
