Role Description

The China Sales Team at Nova is looking for a sales director to manage sales team in Shanghai area.

You’ll be joining the Global Sales team:

Nova Measuring Instrument Ltd. is a leading innovator and a key provider of metrology solutions for advanced process control used in semiconductor manufacturing. Nova’s HQ is located in Israel .

In this role you will oversee activities of the entire key account management department, expand and maintain relationships with strategically account customers and responsible for assigned strategic account targets and sales quota. The Sales Director will represent the whole spectrum of the company’s Dimensional Metrology Products and services to the assigned customersת also lead key account planning and ensures that all assigned customer accounts within the department are catered for and that their needs and expectations are met by the business.

The successful candidate will be energetic, persuasive, well organized and able to demonstrate the ability to sell, define and relentlessly execute appropriate sales strategies to penetrate challenging accounts, while at the same time defending the company’s market share in its key accounts.

What will you do as a Sales Director ?

  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Working and communicating with various stakeholders within the company, to effectively execute strategies to achieve business objectives.
  •  Negotiate and adjust selling prices to maintain the gross margin while closing deals or successfully penetrating strategic accounts.
  • Aligning and managing our agent/distributor and their sales teams, to achieve the company’s DMD business objectives.
  • Own and manage projects to exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture.
  • Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically, while promoting the company and its products’ values in the process.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans, including monitoring and executing sales processes to completion.
  • Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Reporting and analytics.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.

You will be more familiar with the competitive environment and market trends, and better understand the needs of agents and sales teams. You could get experience in leading role while managing customers and sales teams.


  • Bachelor degree or above in Engineering discipline
  • Optical Metrology background is a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years equipment sales experience in the Front-End processes semiconductor industry, preferably working as a Senior Key Account Manager in an MNC.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Proven tracked record in meeting or exceeding sales targets. 
  • Increasing market share through penetration in his/her current or previous position, would be a bonus.
  • Proven and successful track record in establishing strong and long-term customers’ relationships.
  • Good communication skills in English & Mandarin.
  • Analytical and methodical thinking.
