Role Description

The China Logistic Team at Nova is looking for a logistic planner to support Nova logistics team in Shanghai area.

You’ll be joining the Global Logistics team:

The objective of the Logistic Planner is to efficiently and effectively coordinate all activities related to Service Material (Spare Parts, VAS material, PM Material, Consumables Material, Import/Export etc.) in the company subsidiaries and offices. The goal is to ensure sufficient martial availability to enable execution of all Service activities and Service business. The Logistic Planner is a global position and will carry the below activities for all company divisions (DMD and MMD).


 What will you do as a Logistics Planner?

  •  Logistics management 
  1.  Overall management of parts movement from and into the territory in all logistic aspects.
  2. Support urgent cases to support worldwide (other territories) needs from China 3PL (logistic partner) or internal offices WHs.
  3. Arrange local transportation for parts delivery between WHs and customer sites – Coordinate the transportation, creating documents and making the transactions accordingly in the ERP system.
  4. Prepare RMAs return to HQ weekly.
  5. Work with the S&OP team to arrange delivery of evaluation parts from customers back to IL base on the service coordinators process.

  • Material planning and Inventory management
  1. Review main Warehouses / Customers Safety Stock levels and replenish parts from the 3PL WH.
  2. Approve and maintain all 3PL SO.
  3. Run a report and contact FSE/site leaders pushing them to return the Defected units in order to shorten RMA repair cycle time.
  4. Quarterly Inventory Count for the 3PL WHs and customers WHs and check the results.
  5. Review SRV team special request or spare parts inventory gaps (i.e stock definitions or inventory levels) and reflect these gap to the divisions
  6. Weekly meeting review with Service manager.

  • Customer support

  Create Warehouse Transfer or Customer Shipments in the ERP system based on service coordinator requests (When FSE needs/take parts for RMAPAY of warranty contract. Check Inventory Qty).

  • 3PL management
  1. Logistics import & export in China – Review, Approve documents and release Cargo.
  2. Monitor manually and perform transactions of all receiving parts from HQ and RMA returns to 3PL WH and monitor perform transactions of shipping good parts to Korea customers and RMA back to IL.
  3. Maintain 3PL WH import / export record file.

  • Import / Export
  1. Provide an efficient interface with freight forwarders and administer all freight logistics and provide optimal level of customer services and resolve all shipment issues in order to assure fast delivery. 
  2. Perform all record keeping processes and maintain records of all entry to China.
  3. Prepare shipping documents for transportation via air / sea.
  4. Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and requirements.
  5. Understanding of the importance of correct classification for customs valuation, tariffs, and other regulatory purposes.

  • WH and administration
  1. Organize office WH - Parts and locations.
  2. Repackage parts before shipments and prepare documentations.
  3. Cross functional logistics supporting to overseas Nova office.
  4. Prepare payment request and import / export documents to finance/ HR - Import tax, truck, FedEx & forwarder fee, broker charge.

·       English (must) – Good communication verbal and writing.

·       Min 3 years’ experience in import/export and logistics management.

·       Working with ERP systems.

·       Working experience in a global company. Preferred industrial/Semiconductor.

·       Relevant education – BA an advantage.

·       Good teamwork and interpersonal relationship.
