Role Description

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Strategic Marketing, the Regional Marketing Director will be responsible for driving a portfolio marketing approach that supports Nova's business objectives and strategy. This person must be comfortable working in a matrixed organization structure while enabling successful go-to-market outcomes. The ideal candidate must have the technical knowledge and confidence to work closely with our customers and regional teams, demonstrate good judgment and resourcefulness to drive objectives, exhibit sound decision-making ability, and show a willingness to learn. Excellent communication and organization skills are critical given the job responsibilities spanning multiple divisions and global customers. 

  • Work with customers, partners, and technical teams to help bring Nova's unique solutions to market
  • Move the needle for Nova by helping customers succeed in their technology goals
  • Combine the knowledge of company strategy, customer technology, market analysis, solution ideation, competitive positioning, and BU priorities into an outcome-oriented engagement
  • Develop technology proposals with key partners and customers
  • Run projects and penetration programs with clear success criteria, milestones, resource plans and oversee their execution in a matrixed management structure
  • Develop, communicate and own the regional portfolio positioning strategy
  • Proactively invest in learning about Nova's technologies, business, and the customer ecosystem
  • Communicate a detailed understanding of the customer technology roadmap, inflections, competitive landscape, and solution requirements relative to Nova's product portfolio
  • Synthesize market analyses for, and share customer roadmap information with the business units
  • Promote Nova marketing and "thought leadership" activities in their region
  • Act as a regional ambassador for Nova's solution portfolio externally and internally
  • Cultivate deep customer relationships, build rapport with the Nova team based on trust and accountability, and utilize those relationships to advance programs
  • Shortlist opportunities and define the strategy for product deployment with BUs and sales teams

  • At a minimum, 10 years of combined technical and marketing experience, ideally within the semiconductor market. Experience in semiconductor fabrication, process integration, and metrology desired.
  • A track record of defining and executing multiple projects simultaneously at customer sites.
  • An ability to build consensus and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create exceptional marketing collateral.
  • A high degree of comfort with public speaking; must represent Nova at conferences and trade-shows.
  • Master's degree or higher in a technical field preferred. Preference for a strong engineering background – candidate must be capable of learning new concepts quickly.
  • Must be able to travel ~25% of the time; contingent on COVID restrictions in their managed region.
