Role Description
The System Engineer serves as a field-oriented system expert for one of our customers account, responsible for systematically managing escalations, evaluations, and advanced support projects. This role emphasizes structured project management, proactive communication, detailed follow-up, mentorship of service teams, leading technical discussions, and ensuring timely and quality resolutions.

Responsibilities
- Technical Evaluations: Systematically manage hardware-level evaluations, covering both immediate and strategic technical requirements, with structured communication and regular follow-up with local service and applications teams, customers, and HQ.
- Escalation Management: Manage escalations raised by Intel, ensuring structured documentation, clear communication, regular follow-ups, and adherence to established timelines, technical requirements, and account priorities.
- Customer Interface: Serve as the lead technical representative during escalations, employing systematic approaches for containment, resolution, preventive actions, ongoing communication, and detailed follow-up throughout the escalation cycle.
- Technical Authority: Provide structured technical leadership for troubleshooting, escalations, evaluations, and business development, employing systematic communication and follow-up practices across local and HVM accounts.
- Advanced Tools Utilization: Implement and leverage advanced Python-based analytical tools for swift data analysis, enabling rapid and informed decision-making and conclusion generation.
- Expert Collaboration: Collaborate with Service and Application team leads to offer theoretical insights and hands-on technical support, maintaining structured communication and follow-up to ensure alignment with management-defined priorities.
- Headquarters Feedback: Communicate with HQ teams regarding necessary Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), employing structured documentation, regular updates, and thorough follow-ups driven by fleet performance data, customer feedback (VOC), and business requirements.
- Software Upgrades: Manage alpha-phase software upgrade activities, including process reviews, detailed risk assessments, thorough documentation, proactive communication, and regular follow-ups with HQ SW, HW and local teams.
- Information Management: Systematically track, manage, and communicate updates regarding ECOs, software, firmware, and hardware upgrades from HQ, ensuring structured updates, documentation, and follow-up with local teams.
- Application Team Support: Provide systematic and structured support to the Application team during escalations, development phases, and other hardware-related activities, ensuring clear communication and detailed follow-up.
- Reporting: Generate weekly management reports summarizing ongoing project statuses, critical issues, recommended actions, structured timelines, and clearly documented follow-up plans.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with multi-discipline semiconductor manufacturing equipment, metrology tool experience is plus
- Comfortable performing basic data analysis using Excel or similar software.
- Ability to interpret data effectively and draw meaningful insights.
- Skilled in creating clear narratives around data-driven findings.
- Confident presenting data insights internally and to customers.
- Knowledge in optics, GUI SW design, and mechanical components
- Ability to travel US and Internationally and support other customer sites- travel up to 20%
