Role Description
What we are looking for:
The Engineering Department at Nova is looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join the Engineering- NPI HW Matrix Team.
Responsibilities
What will you be doing:
- Lead changes via Engineering Change Orders (ECOs); build and update Bill of Material (BOM) definitions, hierarchy, and structure levels while addressing operational aspects.
- Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) activities, design for manufacturability, cycle time, reliability, and focus on technology methods, industry familiarity.
- Define and write technical documentation such as assembly instructions, routing instructions, calibration instructions, test plans, etc.
- Lead mechanical design and improvements via SolidEdge/SolidWorks, handle CAD models and drawing definitions.
- Drive mechanical design activities, for example: opto-mechanics, electro-mechanics, chassis, package design, test devices (jigs), and fixtures.
- Work with Nova’s suppliers and subcontractors, acting as a technical focal point and leading suppliers’ New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Play a technical pivot role in the Operations department and collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, Purchasing, Planning, and Service.
Requirements
Requirements:
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in engineering and NPI processes.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical design.
- Experience and knowledge in CAD software, SolidEdge, AGILE, PDM.
- Product BOM build & maintenance by ECOs via PLM (Agile) interface with SolidEdge/SolidWorks.
- Strong technical writing skills in English.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, machining, coating, geometric tolerances.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience in multidisciplinary and/or semiconductor industry - advantage.
