Nova Korea is looking for an Application Lab Chemist in Dongtan, Korea

You’ll be joining the CMD Application team:

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations in chemistry laboratory, including conducting experiments, operating analytical instruments, maintaining facilities, ensuring safety regulations are followed, and managing chemical inventory.
  • Enhance the accuracy and consistency of laboratory test results by designing and executing systematic testing procedures. Reconfigure tools when necessary.
  • Carry out operational tasks such as chemical preparation and packaging, handling, shipping, and chemical analysis.
  • Perform on-site demonstrations to assist with customer evaluations of products.
  • Produce reports for internal stakeholders and external customers explaining analytical results and next steps.
  • Participate in global working group to ensure alignment of activities.
  • Actively engage in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs to uphold high safety standards.
  • Oversee local training events for Nova service members


Requirements

  • A master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a chemical laboratory or manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Basic programming skills & understanding of "abstract sequences"
  • Practical experience with equipment such as CVS, HPLC, UV/NIR spectroscopy, titration, ICP, or XRF is a plus.
  • Demonstrates a quick learning ability and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to careful, high-quality work.
  • Possesses strong communication skills and works effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
