Role Description

What we are looking for: 

Nova Facilities Israel Headquarters is looking for a Facility & EHS Director.

In this role, you will report to the VP of Global Facilities and Corporate Environment and play a critical role in supporting the organization’s efforts to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment across its operations in Israel.

You will lead the facility life cycle in IL, leading the real estate strategy, lease-in, lease-out, new construction projects, facility maintenance and services.

You will collaborate with the EHS team and work with Safety Officer in implementing and maintaining effective environmental, health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. 

In addition, you will manage back-office services such as car leasing and administrative support, coordinate HR and departmental events, and oversee office operations, maintenance, and safety compliance.

Your responsibilities will also include supporting regulatory compliance and fostering a strong culture of safety and environmental awareness throughout the organization.

The role encompasses planning, operational management, budgeting, and coordination of all facility-related projects in Israel.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing:

  • Safety: Ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations and proactively implement risk prevention measures. Oversee emergency preparedness, including evacuation plans and employee safety training.
  • Environmental Integration: Execute and implement a comprehensive environmental strategy for our IL facilities and R&D products, integrating sustainability practices into all aspects of facility management.
  • Facility Planning and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative and environmentally conscious workspace designs that promote employee health, safety, productivity, and well-being in IL.
  • Space Planning: Collaborate with departments to optimize space utilization, layout, and design to support workflow and employee needs. Develop IL plans for future space needs and construction projects to support the company strategy.
  • Sustainability Leadership: Drive the adoption of green building standards, energy-efficiency measures, waste reduction initiatives, and renewable energy sources across all IL facilities.
  • Health and Wellness: Implement wellness focused design elements and programs that enhance the physical well-being of employees within the IL environment.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and reporting standards, and provide transparent reporting on our ESG initiatives in the IL region.
  • Technology and Innovation: Explore and implement advanced technologies such as smart building systems, data analytics, and IoT solutions to optimize facility operations and minimize environmental impact in IL.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive leadership, internal teams, and external partners to foster a culture of sustainability and corporate responsibility.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets that support environmental initiatives, balancing cost-effectiveness with long-term sustainability goals, facility projects, facility maintenance, and day-to-day activities.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in overall management of a site including offices, laboratories, and a production hall (clean rooms – an advantage).
  • English in good level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the ERP (Oracle) system is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience in a high-tech company is an advantage.
