What we are looking for
Nova’s Optics Group is looking for a physicist or optical engineer to lead a range of development activities involving critical modules in our advanced, multidisciplinary metrology systems. This is an opportunity to develop complex and novel electro-optical modules and collaborate with world-leading electro-optics vendors.
Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
- Derive optical module requirements from system requirements.
- Lead feasibility studies and design new optical modules.
- Define rigorous test plans and optical setups.
- Verify results, ensuring alignment with system-level requirements.
- Collaborate closely with electro-optical vendors worldwide.
- Perform optical simulations and optical design using ZEMAX and Python/ MATLAB.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Physics or Optical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in electro-optics. Graduates with an excellent academic record and a strong academic background in electro-optics may also be considered.
- Experience designing and implementing laboratory electro-optical setups.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python; (Python is preferred).
- Knowledge of optical design software such as ZEMAX is an advantage.
- Image-processing skills - an advantage.
- Experience with semiconductor-industry equipment - an advantage.
- Experience in optical system design - an advantage.
- Experience in working with optical vendors - an advantage.
