Role Description

The China Application / Service Team at Nova is looking for Application Engineers, Field Service Engineers and Service Coordinator Intern to provide excellent team support for China customers.

Responsibilities

Application Engineer: Shanghai/Shenzhen/Beijing/Jiangyin

  • Supply on-site application support and metrology solutions to End users in CMP, CVD, Lithography and Etch process groups.
  • To establish good technical relationships (and good communication channels ) with customers, have a comprehensive understanding of their process and issues.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the semiconductor industry, including future changes and trends.
  • Remain involved and up to date with new metrology applications and products.
  • Perform pre-sale demonstrations and presentations to customers.
  • Help in developing new and current applications in close coordination with LTD or other subsidiaries.
  • Provide sales support and sales-related information to the marketing group.


Field Service Engineer: Shanghai/Hefei/Dongguan

  •  Implement the Customer Support Policy for the OEM End User. Supervise, maintain and support company systems in the field.
  • Support OEM partners and End Users internal service as defined under warranty and service support agreements.
  • Maintain, support, and guide proper training to all users, including OEM and End User personnel. (Training will be provided, in most cases, by an engineer dedicated to training).
  • Maintain proper reporting methods for all activities of customer support as defined by the Territory Service Manager/Customer Support Manager.
  • Maintain company’s parts inventory under the position’s control. Maintain proper level of stock in accordance with company spare parts tock policy, as set from time to time.
  • Assist in new equipment integration, “add-ons,” and upgrades.
  • Provide feedback to the headquarters based on experience gained with customers.


Service Coordinator: Shanghai

  • Work closely with the Country Business Manager, service managers, on forecasting, revenue and ongoing customer Business related activities.
  • End-to-End Order fulfillment from Opportunity to Quote to Customer Purchase order up to Delivery and cash collection escalations.
  • Sales Orders Backlog follow up, work closely with HQ team to align customer requirements, supply dates and shipping plan.
  • Manage customer orders in ERP system to ensure all data is uploaded and facilitate order approval and invoice process with finance.
  • Customer payment coordination, tracking to ensure timely collection.
  • Work closely with the Service engineers, manage service call fulfillment and re-ordering from HQ.
  • Manage Customer returns of faulty parts to HQ for repair (RMA).
  • Responsible for regular documentation preparations for business with legal.
  • Work closely with the HQ Global Service Business Operations teams for monthly/ quarterly revenue closing, customer forecast and communicate risks.
  • Other tasks assigned by Business Service managers.

Requirements

Application Engineer:

  • Above master’s degree in physical, Material Science Engineering or Chemical Engineering background.
  • Knowledge with Semiconductor process.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a team player.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willing to travel to various regions for training (basic training for up to 2mths) and support activities.
  • Strong analytical skills multi-tasking, good attitude and high EQ.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with an excellent problem-solving mindset.


Field Service Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or relative course.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Semiconductor domain - a plus. 
  • Good communication skills, team player, service orientate.
  • Ability to work shift and oversea support if needed. 
  • Proficient in English.
  • Enthusiasm and energetic.
  • Be good at thinking and open minded.
  • Sense of responsibility and proactive attitude.
  • Willing to travel if needed.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with an excellent problem-solving mindset.


Service Coordinator Intern:

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow and complete tasks with a high level of organization, responsibility, and efficiency, and ability to provide excellent performance under pressure.
  • Fluent English – Speaking, Reading, Writing.
  • BA / B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management / Business Management or equivalent.
  • +2 years of experience in manufacturing companies, solid experience in demand planning, customer services, or supply chain management.
  • Strong excel skills – Must be proficient in Excel (including formulas, functions, pivot etc..).
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with an excellent problem-solving mindset.
  • ERP/Oracle systems – a plus. ERP Priority - an advantage.
