Role Description

What we are looking for:

Nova seeks an experienced Material Manager to join our operations organization and ensure the reliable availability of materials required to meet production and customer delivery commitments.

In this role, your main responsibility is for the end-to-end management of production and repair materials, ensuring material availability to support manufacturing operations and RMA repair replenishment. The role leads the Planning and TAPI teams, driving material flow, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery while maintaining operational efficiency.

Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Engineering, and other cross-functional managers and you will play a critical role in improving delivery performance, optimizing inventory, and driving continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing:

  • Own material availability to support production and customer deliveries, ensuring weekly commitments, no past-due orders, and strong On-Time Delivery performance.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate production risks, including material shortages and delivery delays.
  • Coordinate internal deliveries and material flow while maintaining healthy and reliable inventory levels.
  • Drive inventory accuracy and optimization, including alignment between system and physical inventory and reduction of excess and obsolete stock.
  • Translate demand and production plans into execution-level material plans and track supply status, risks, and gaps.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse teams to align priorities and ensure timely closure of requests and dependencies.
  • Manage planning and delivery reports, including rolling forecasts and delivery tracking, and improve reporting visibility and standardization.
  • Lead and participate in weekly operational, planning, and delivery meetings, ensuring follow-up and closure of action items.
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvement initiatives in material planning and inventory management, including data quality, reporting accuracy, and planning methodologies.
  • Support the implementation of new tools, systems, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain, or logistics within a multidisciplinary manufacturing environment
  • Proven managerial experience in leading and developing a Planning, Materials, Supply Chain, or Operational team
  • Strong experience working cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Warehouses, and other operational interfaces
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into operational decisions and actions
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment, influence stakeholders, and ensure execution across multiple interfaces
  • Experience working with Oracle Cloude ERP systems - Advantage
  • Familiarity with inventory management and optimization methodologies - Advantage
  • Experience with supply chain KPIs (OTD, shortages, inventory turns, etc.) - Advantage
